The 17th FH2 Campaign: The Unyielding Has Ended - Congratulations to the Axis on their win! From all of the Committee, Admins and Moderators we want to thank everyone who took part in our seventeenth FH2 campaign. Yet again another FH2 campaign is over, and what a campaign it has been! Up until the final battle, the scores swung wildly between Allied and Axis taking the lead, and, with just a 41 point difference going into Battle #10 at Tornio, the campaign could have gone either way. In the end, a strong finish from Axis secured the victory, but we can all agree that the campaign felt incredibly balanced throughout, with a lot of fun maps and some great experiences. The next campaign will take us back to the Pacific and will start some time in September 2025, so keep checking the forums and Discord for further news! Some interesting statistics from the 17th campaign: In total there were nearly 55,000 kills over the course of the 10 battles (including team kills) - an average of around 5,431 kills per battle. The top tank in this campaign with over 1,750 kills was the T-34/76, with the BT-7 in a distant second with 612 kills. The Lavochkin La-5 ruled the skies with over 160 kills while the MiG-3 took second place. There were 270 close range kills made with bayonets, knives, entrenchment tools and spades, with bayonets being the favoured melee weapon. 279 players were unlucky enough to step on an anti-personnel mine during the campaign. 101 anti-tank mines were used to destroy vehicles and tanks over the course of 10 battles. Despite balancing families, jobs, and other commitments, they consistently manage to prepare these maps in time for our events. This team has played a crucial role in ensuring the maps are ready for training and battles. Some members have created new maps from scratch, while others have enhanced existing maps to meet high standards suitable for our campaigns. Their tremendous effort has been instrumental in getting the maps ready for this initiative, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their hard work! Without these talented mappers, we wouldn't have access to such amazing custom campaigns and would instead rely on public maps, hoping they function well in an organized setting. We also appreciate those who have contributed by introducing interesting vehicles, player models, weapons, and buildings to the campaigns. We are in need of more volunteers to learn map-making and assist in creating new maps or updating existing ones. If you're interested, please let us know, and we will provide resources to help you get started. Game Servers and Teamspeak kummitus kummitus is a key individual in keeping the servers and communication platforms running seamlessly, offering vital assistance to Papillon and the mappers as they develop and refine the maps for our campaigns. Without his expertise in handling the technical aspects of the campaigns, including the communication tools and forums, many of the features that enhance our campaigns would not exist. We are truly thankful for all his hard work! Forums, Graphics, Social Media and Community Support RAnDOOm Sir_Kowskoskey Hawk RayderPSG Erwin RAnDOOm is essential in organizing our campaigns, handling everything from setting up forums and the campaign interface to managing medals, advertisements, and social media promotions. He also provides valuable support to officers and HQ by facilitating forum access. When we kick off a campaign and open up registration, you can count on RAnDOOm's extensive preparations to ensure everything is in place and on schedule. His contributions are vital in helping us meet the demanding timelines for our biannual campaigns. Sir_Kowskoskey, RayderPSG, and Hawk dedicate themselves to engaging with various language regiments and players, encouraging them to step into leadership positions while keeping an eye on potential player counts and faction preferences for each campaign. Their efforts in coordinating with HQ and officers to ensure seamless operations are a part of the reason why our FH2 campaigns are so successful! Hawk and Erwin take charge of creating the eye-catching campaign advertisements (Hawk's designs are always creative and beautifully made!) and the immersive map loading images, which often include thought-provoking WW2 quotes. Their creativity adds those finishing touches, to our campaigns and the maps. Map Balancing and Feedback Hawk RayderPSG Ayrton Hawk and RayderPSG tackle the demanding and often underappreciated responsibility of ensuring a fair balance among weapons, vehicles, and aircraft on campaign maps. Even in the face of regular feedback regarding weapon balance, they always do their best to research and check the loadouts before each battle is played. A special shoutout to Ayrton for his input regarding historical accuracy and potential loadouts in this campaign too. Unseen by many, they always participate in thorough discussions about map content, consistently emphasizing balance and steering clear of personal biases, whether they are in the heat of battle or leading a squad. We are immensely grateful to them for their commitment to creating a level playing field for all participants! AND FINALLY A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO YOU, THE PLAYERS WHO JOINED OUR CAMPAIGN! Hello CMP users! A new FH2 campaign will be starting very soon! However, in order to be able to start or get close to it, we need players to volunteer for some leading roles. If there are no volunteers to lead the teams, regiments or squads then the campaign will NOT go ahead! The needed positions are below: English Speaking NCO English Speaking CO and NCO *One NCO available too , to decide where to go. If you're interested in any of the spots above please let us know. Without HQ and other leaders, the campaign will be delayed until people volunteer! Keep in mind that you won't be left on your own. You'll be supported by other players and the admin team. Best: 2 weeks without playing FH2. Feels good again. Best 2 : Defending Vaivara in last minutes of round 5. That was very intense. We didnt loose it from start to finish. From all of the Committee, Admins and Moderators we want to wish all of the CMP community a wonderful holiday and hopes for a fantastic New Year. With our final Forgotten Hope 2 battle of 2025 complete and the 18th campaign now over, we now look forward to the holidays and heading into the start of a new year. In this moment, it is a perfect time to celebrate the small things that keep CMP strong: a friendly message, or witty banter on Discord or TeamSpeak, someone stepping up to help another member of the community with technical support, real-life meet-ups over food and laughter, and the countless hours spent together in the various games we play, including our signature FH2 campaigns. Those everyday gestures are what make this community a home. In April 2026 CMP will turn 9 — nine years of friendships, shared victories (and defeats), and a welcoming place for players from all walks of life. We've grown to over 3,000 members, our events stay busy, and our spirit of support and camaraderie remains our greatest achievement. Thanks to everyone who helps to run our events, moderates our platforms, organizes games and meet-ups, or simply shows up to play and be kind. As we head into the new year, let’s keep that warmth and teamwork alive. In 2025 we took our two FH2 campaigns from the vast landscapes of the Eastern Front, to the claustrophobic jungles of the Pacific, offering a mix of our previous quality custom maps, and a number of re-imagined and new maps never played before in a campaign. These rarely played battlefronts have proved popular with our community, and we've consistently seen a full server on a Friday night for our battles - not only with gamers from our existing playerbase, but also from a new generation of gamers who have discovered the game and are looking for the fun of being involved in organised events. There is so much that goes on in the background to keep the community, campaigns and events running and we must recognise the core group of CMP members who tirelessly give their all for this wonderful community of players. They work long hours, using their free time to bring our community not only two custom FH2 campaigns each year, but also to make sure that CMP can thrive going forward, and they deserve a heartfelt thank you from us all. Best: - Playing the game with good folks. Figuring out that as soon as we took a flag to run away like hell before the US arty hit. Unless they were coming right back. Winning that last round, that was something. Till the very end I thought it was going to a 1-0 round one way or the other. I only ever saw 2 of those. Worst: - I TKed way to much, first 3 rounds especially, the uniforms seem too close sometimes. LOL especially when the enemy picks up one of our kits then, well, I'm dead cause they look like us too much even though their name doesn't show. Funniest: - Last round "RUN BACK TO THE FLAG!" I'm so injured I can barely see, no bandage left and of course I can't run, nothing on map. I can see our names though so I try to follow them, didn't see the hill, the slide down it killed me. Then when it looked like we had to kill more flag or no flag to win, "GO FIND SOMEONE TO KILL"

Best: - I was in the winning team the whole evening (switched to allied side during the last round to help with their lower player numbers). Not missing all my shots was also good. Worst: - Managed to teamkill two of my squadmates by throwing a nade while being wounded/blinded. Funniest: - While defending the village I noticed tank from a different squad approaching one of the southern bridges I had mined. Told our SL to warn the tank about the mines over CC, while I frantically ran towards the bridge with a wrench in my hand. I did not manage to remove the mines though as the friendly tank first blew me up and then ran over my mines. Another funny incident happened during our failed attempt to retake village. After getting wounded I dropped on the ground to hide while healing and found that you could crawl under those houses elevated off the ground. Managed to get multiple kills before someone figured out where I was. I was randomly turning around to look behind me when I was jump scared by a bloodthirsty allied soldier crawling towards me with a blade between his teeth. Luckily my bullets were faster. Most hated player: - none Most loved/liked player: - Everyone who showed up Best Battle Photo - Forgot to take even a single screenshot Other: - During one of the later matches our squad was defending airfield and at one point there were three allied tanks rushing the flag with zero infantry support, you can imagine what happened to those poor tanks... If only there was an infantry squad supporting them.

Best: - Playing FH2 again, been a long time. Hearing all the different accents. All the good people. Worst: - I can no longer play that long sitting in that position. Leg was killing me. I played way worse after 2 1/2 hours. Funniest: - I could have sworn I was hit from the position of the guy I killed, but no it was a team kill by me. Not real funny LOL
