Gameplay looks rather familiar!

Open beta on Steam today. Downloading it right now but scrim tomorrow so can't test till weekend. It's COD so I expect it to be shit.

Quickly started it up this morning and multiplayer at least looks like more of the "run around fast and click more accurately and faster than your opponents" genre. Looks nice. Plays like shit.

I have 2 copies on DVD but install is from Battlelog....

Well since it turned out to my surprise that my bought-second-hand "new" gaming PC is Oculus Rift capable, I bought one last week, partly to see if flight sims would be a good use for one.

I played a few combat sims previously(Luftwaffe Commander, Janes, Microsoft CFSM 1 and 2, IL-2) but not really been able to fully immerse in them and lost interest once I discoverd Forgotten Hope 1 years ago.
Playing in VR is something else entirely (I can do proper Immelmanns now),  but it's a steep learning curve so not ready for co-ops yet. But I think this is going to be my "go to" came outside Friday nights for quite a while - if I can keep the kids from hogging the PC that is. Having to "rest your chin" on the sights to fire accurately and look out of the side is absolutely awesome. Next investment has to be rudder pedals though.

Preferred role: Killing time between my many respawns. And spotting. I like spotting. This campaign will perhaps be better as I will no longer have to be respawning from Al-Sahad killing me all the time.

If you are a German speaker, you can play Axis. If you aren't you have to play International on Aliied, right? That's how I understood it. Or is there an international squad on Axis too?

Couldn't quite work out if the sentence is an instruction or an option to bear in mind.

I'm probably the oldest person in here and I'm only just old enough to have seen it first time round.

Bought it on Steam sale last week and it looks awesome. Not sure if I have time to improve my lacklustre ability and there are way too many controls.
Would love to play a simplified version of it online, for sure, especially in WW2 modded version.

FWIW I just dropped the cash on an Oculus headset which should arrive next week and Arma III is compatible using an app. So expecting lots of fun with this. (As in fun "getting killed constantly").

Great news. My new PC and 55" screen can't wait.

Reason For Absence: Mates are playing a gig in Copenhagen and I have 10 other mates over for it from the UK. They were last here 10 years ago... 

Am having some big problems with my TS install and can't save my config. Also doesn't recognise UIDD. Am I the only person with this issue? Tried reinstalling several times and it's just Fubar.
