Awarded to @CptBocquier, @La-Hire, @SputnikFighter and @Druidix, members of the french squad of the 288 Sonderverband which landed successfully an enemy airplane being the enemy lines during the Chania Airfield battle. As a distraction force, they put an heavy blow to the british forces, taking in a lightning strike the Harbour, thus diverting many defenders from the main attack of the Deutsch Afrika Korps on the airfield. They demonstrated their skills while attacking and capturing flags as Harbour, Vigla or Hill 62, by foot or by airdrop. The Kafetaria and Townhall they defended, under heavy british attack from land, air and sea, never fell off. Under the cretan sun, the french squad shone and blinded his opponents.
