A reminder not to post links to the standalone version of Forgotten Hope 2 in our forums or on Discord. FH2 still relies on some files from Battlefield 2 and these are still under copyright protection with Electronic Arts. As such, until BF2 becomes abandonware and any legal ownership is removed, please do not post links to the standalone version of the mod. There are plenty of other places to find the link. @Buzz Adams if you want the discs, then the best option is to look on eBay for someone selling second hand.

From all of the Committee, Admins and Moderators thanks to all of you for being a part of this great and ever-growing community of video game players. 2021 seemed to have started pretty much the same as 2020, with most of us still seeking in our homes, waiting for news on vaccines and lowering cases for the Coronavirus. In this time of isolation and restrictions to real-world social activities, it is understandable that people have sought out like-minded people online to connect with and we are pleased that over 2,000 people worldwide have now decided to call CMP their home. Of course, now is a great time to be part of the CMP community as we launch our 9th FH2 Campaign: Karelian Wolves! This campaign is set during the Winter and Continuation Wars between Finland and Russia from 1939 up until 1944. We welcome everyone to come and join us for what looks to be another amazing campaign. If you're not a fan of WW2 shooters, gaming activities don't stop with just Forgotten Hope 2, as the community has a large and varied range of groups created to support a number of popular games, so be sure to check out our Community Games section in the forums for an idea of some of the other games we play the most - come and join us! As we look ahead into the rest of 2021 here are some of the events and campaigns we have planned: Looking Ahead For 2021 A new FH2 campaign has just opened! In the first of two FH2 campaigns this year, fight on the Finnish border and beyond in CMP's ninth campaign; "Karelian Wolves" Head over to the campaign announcement in General Announcements for more information. We are currently running a Dirt Rally Cup event which will last until the 1st August. The next rally cup will start later in the year as we switch over to a season of Assetto Corsa however you can still take part in the current event; You can sign up directly at https://www.dirtgame.com/dirtrally/uk/leagues/league/155341/cmp-dirt-rally This event is for DiRT Rally 1.0, and we'll be launching a DiRT Rally 2.0 event later on this year. You'll find a lot of racing chat takes place at in our Discord #racing-games channel. We have a growing number of CMP members that play Post Scriptum and we play on both public servers and in competitive events against other orgs and clans. You'll find a lot of Post Scriptum chat in our Discord #post-scriptum channel including CMP members looking to meet up and play together on a public server, or for competition announcements. If you have the game and want to play with us, come and sign up in the Post Scriptum forums! As Star Citizen increases in scope and activities we will be hosting more evening events - come and join us at ANTCORP, CMP's very own org within Star Citizen! We chat and organize meet ups "in the 'verse" in our Discord #sc-general chat, so come and visit us there, or head to our Star Citizen forums for more in-depth information on the game. Join us and play the free2play first person shooter Counter Strike-Global Offensive. Several English and Spanish speaking CMP Members play this game almost every day. Keep in mind that we use Prime Status in our matches. We mainly organize on our Discord #cs-go channel, but you can also post in our CS:GO forums We have now switched over to track-based racing on the Assetto Corsa platform with a dedicated server allowing us to create custom racing events and championship seasons. We usually switch racing between seasons of Dirt Rally and Assetto Corsa to offer a little racing variety throughout the year. Our first Assetto Corsa Championship featured the DTM class of track cars and proved to be a tough, but fun challenge for everyone involved! If you're interested in joining future Championships then come along to our Assetto Corsa forums, or join us for some racing chat that takes place in our Discord #racing-games channel. With the expanding updates and content for Hell Let Loose and it's continuing updates, we have a fledgling group of players in the CMP community that are active on various servers. You'll find our Discord #hell-let-loose channel is a good place to find out when players will be online so you can join up for some team play. Alternatively visit our Hell Let Loose forums and sign up to show your play! Donating To CMP In 2018 we started our donations drive to ask for CMP members to help with our monthly costs, and jumping ahead to 2020 we had a great year for donations where we not only met, but then exceeded our yearly target thanks to a number of generous donators and our ever-dependable monthly donation supporters. For 2021 we still need members to donate whatever they can afford to help cover the monthly community costs - even a few Euros will help. This will allow us to continue to create and host FH2 campaigns, support new games on the game server when we have a large enough community playing them; as well as run the forums, Teamspeak and Discord channels.
