Quicksilver Posted Tuesday at 02:07 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:07 AM The 19th FH2 Campaign: Mare Nostrum Has Ended - Congratulations to the Axis on their win! From all of the Committee, Admins and Moderators we want to thank everyone who took part in our nineteenth FH2 campaign. As we close in on reaching our twentieth FH2 campaign, the fight for North Africa, Sicily, Greece, and Italy is over. The lead in this campaign shifted multiple times from Allied to Axis and back again, with several close rounds being won with less than 10 tickets for the winning team. Only a decisive victory in the 12th battle helped to keep the Axis team ahead in the points going into the last fight of the campaign, where a slim win by the Allied of a single point wasn't enough to change the overall outcome. There were a lot of great maps present in this campaign, which is again, testament to the talented mappers that we are privileged to have working to bring amazing content to the FH2 community. The next campaign will see the Allies assault "Fortress Europe" and will start some time in September 2026, so keep checking the forums and Discord for further news! Some interesting statistics from the 19th campaign: In total there were over 68,000 kills over the course of the 13 battles (including team kills) - an average of around 5,297 kills per battle. The top tank in this campaign with over 1,000 kills was the Panzer IV F2, with the Sherman M4A1 trailing behind with nearly 700 kills. In the air the Spitfire IX reigned supreme with 600 kills while the BF109 F4 took claimed half as many victories. There were 1,750 close range kills made with bayonets, knives, entrenchment tools and spades - far more than any other campaign so far! The Carcano Mod. 91 Baionetta was the most used melee weapon in melee combat. 464 players were unlucky enough to step on an anti-personnel mine during the campaign. 1 Player was very unlucky to be killed by a No. 77 White Phosphorus Grenade. Blander - krakki Erwin - GeoPat - genp - TomTom39 - Kerst - Vlasov knokworst - The_Green_Bunny - Dali96 - MarceloGallardo - Blaze - Belzebuth Without you volunteering to help lead, we would not have been able to run this campaign! Mapping and Mapping Support Papillon, Geopat, Watchtower, Pr0z4c, CptBocquier, Blander, Vlasov and Ayrton Our dedicated group of volunteer map-makers has once again stepped up to create the maps used in this campaign. Juggling families, work, and other responsibilities, they consistently deliver polished maps in time for our events. Their work is essential to ensuring everything is ready for training and battles. Some volunteers build new maps from scratch, while others refine and expand existing ones to meet the high standards we expect for our campaigns. Thanks to their time, skill, and commitment, this initiative is off to a great start—we truly appreciate all they do! Without these talented mappers, we wouldn’t have access to the custom campaigns and would instead have to rely on public maps, hoping they’ll work well in a well-organized environment. We’re also grateful to everyone who has contributed assets, including vehicles, player models, weapons, and buildings that help bring our campaigns to life. We’re looking for more volunteers who are interested in learning map-making. If you’d like to help create new maps or update existing ones, please reach out—resources and guidance will be provided to help you get started. Game Servers and Teamspeak kummitus Kummitus is a key part of keeping our servers and communication platforms running smoothly. He provides essential support to Papillon and to the mappers as they develop and refine maps for our campaigns. Without his technical expertise—especially around the communication tools and forums—many of the features that elevate our campaigns simply wouldn’t be possible. We’re genuinely grateful for all the hard work he puts in! Forums, Graphics, Social Media and Community Support RAnDOOm Sir_Kowskoskey Hawk RayderPSG RAnDOOm is essential to organizing our campaigns. He manages everything from setting up forums and the campaign interface to handling medals, advertisements, and social media promotions. He also helps officers and HQ by making sure forum access is straightforward. Once a campaign is launched and registration opens, we can rely on RAnDOOm’s thorough preparation to keep everything in place and on schedule. His efforts are key to meeting the demanding timelines of our biannual campaigns. Sir_Kowskoskey, RayderPSG, and Hawk focus on connecting with language regiments and players. They encourage people to step into leadership roles while also keeping an eye on expected player numbers and faction preferences for each campaign. Their coordination with HQ and officers helps ensure smooth operations—one of the reasons our FH2 campaigns are so successful. Finally, Hawk has made yet another amazing campaign poster for this campaign—showing off his exceptional creativity and eye for detail. Map Balancing and Feedback Hawk RayderPSG Ayrton Hawk and RayderPSG take on the demanding, often underappreciated work of making sure campaign maps provide a fair balance across weapons, vehicles, and aircraft. Even when they receive feedback about weapon balance, they don’t just react—they research, review, and double-check the loadouts before each battle to help keep things as even as possible. A special shoutout to Ayrton as well for his input on historical accuracy and potential loadouts for this campaign. On top of that, RayderPSG works incredibly hard to test the maps before release, provide detailed feedback to the mappers, and help identify—and overcome—potential problems with balancing game assets. Often unseen, Hawk and RayderPSG stay involved in deeper discussions about map content, consistently focusing on balance and setting aside personal biases, whether they’re in the heat of battle or leading a squad. We’re genuinely grateful for their commitment to building a level playing field for everyone. Battle Admins Hawk Papillon Sir_Kowskoskey kummitus RAnDOOm RayderPSG pozzo Most players will be familiar with the battle admins who work to make sure that the events on a Friday run smoothly, setting up main bases perimeters, starting the rounds, dealing with new players, and maintaining order if things become chaotic. Being a battle admin requires sacrificing your free time and enjoyment of playing the game when you need to break off to deal with rule-breaking, new players, or map related issues. We are grateful for these members of the CMP community that offer their time on a Friday to keep the campaign balanced, fair, and free from disruption. AND FINALLY A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO YOU, THE PLAYERS WHO JOINED OUR CAMPAIGN! And finally, a massive thanks to you—the players who joined our campaign! We’re genuinely excited to see so many of you choosing CMP as a welcoming place to connect and enjoy gaming with others who share your interests. Our goal is to keep growing this community: exploring a wider variety of games, and encouraging members to take the lead in introducing new experiences for everyone to enjoy together. If there’s a game you’re passionate about and think our community would love, feel free to reach out to a Committee member or an admin via PM. We’d be happy to help you get a group set up within CMP! Donating To CMP Without donations to help cover the costs for servers and software we cannot continue to create and host FH2 campaigns, support new games when possible; as well as run the forums, Teamspeak and Discord channels. We are now midway through 2025 and we need members to step up and donate whatever they can afford to help cover the monthly community costs - even a few Euros will help. You can use the button below to make a single or monthly donation to CMP, or use the buttons on the side bar of the Home page. 3 4
