I am thankful for a response containing a solution.
Not sure if you read what I wrote, response indicates you did not read it in entirety.
How I read the PS in summary: your fault, nothing else. Complete reinstall should fix it.
Well that would be a bit easier if I could ever get FH2 files on my computer instead of always having to remote install by (torrent?) download each time I need to install, Is there a way to download FH2 install files, not just remotely install it?
After trying to click the three options in the insanity memory statement and reading the response here, I clicked the "X" in the upper right corner of the error box and was able to join the training map without issue. This reminds me of the same or similar issue in the past (which happened to others, not just me) and they had said to ignore the message. I thought clicking the "continue" button had been the way to ignore it, but it seems just closing the whole box is the way to ignore it. And if I recall correctly after awhile (probably subsequent updates happened?) the issue disappeared (not my fault, no reinstall needed). We'll see this time. Since this has happened in the past, to multiple people, maybe a sticky solution post is in order. It might well be in the forums somewhere already, or it might have been on some other forums (it was a while ago).
Edit Update: As in the past a subsequent update (the very next one) gave no more issues. CMP loads without incident.
Solved: ignore the error message by closing the box (click top right "X") and continue.
otherwise ... reinstall everything or only play FH2 vanilla.
